Planning: for end of Sept 2024

Multi-day electric bike ride and road side camping - maybe Brisbane to Sydney.

Each and every workday I ride my Dyson electric bike (Australian Company) the 6km to and from work - and now I am thinking we need a much longer journey together. Therefore, I am thinking Brisbane to Sydney in the last weeks of September 2024 (school holidays) if I can find a way to keep my batteries charged each evening. Currently it looks like bouncing from Van Park to Van Park and charging overnight, although I would much rather do roadside camps but it leaves me with nowhere to recharge. Hmmm something to ponder..

South Korea, China, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand.

This trip is going to be a absolute cracker. I fly into Seoul (South Korea) and back home from Bangkok (Thailand) just over a month later, with all other travel being ground or water based only - except in an emergency… After five days in Seoul and Busan it’s a 20hr overnight ferry ride across the Yellow sea to Qingdao in China, followed by a high-speed train across to South Western China where I will be spending 8 days over Cristmas and New Year with Katrina in Chongqing and Chengdu - we want to see Giant Panda’s. After Katrina heads home for work I will then head down to Laos via the LCR (Laos China Railway) to visit Luang Prabang and Vientiane. Then comes the buses to Cambodia where I will finally get to capture some shots of Ankor Wat and a few other special places before getting back on the bus and heading to Thailand. Once in Thailand I will quickly head down to Krabi for a swim and some images that I am keen to capture before heading back to Bangkok for a few days and the flight home.
